Doing so some long over due renovations. And am looking to put a Dutch Door (AKA Split) in a particularly awkward spot. So it's an unusual shape and size. I've done the major "Door" shops in town & the Tip & Gatton & Griffith St Demolition places (don't get me started on Bunnings). With some respect but little luck.
Was wondering if anyone here can suggest any options. More & more looking like I'll have to take the expensive option & go for a custom job - if so I'm looking for recommendations. If I'm paying an arm & a leg I'll be looking for exactly what I want. Otherwise I'm adaptable.
My reaction is to obtain a suitable width door, cut it in half, then ad the timber & ledges to make it weather tight. You don't say what style of door is required, but to make a dutch door you would really need a tongue and groove to have the strength needed.
