Toowoomba Talk is for all residents, present and past, young and old, and others with some relationship to the region. While we promote the 'community' aspect of this site, we don't want you to limit your input to just community topics. Get in there and talk about anything and everything. The more the merrier. It is the mix that will make this a great place to be.

We started Toowoomba Talk with one main purpose in mind - to create a central and united online community that reflects the diversity of the new Toowoomba Regional community. The reality is, after amalgamation of several town councils, the Toowoomba community is very much comprised of several communities, and if it is to continue successfully and prosperously, we all have to work together as a single community.

The Toowoomba Regional Council is now responsible for many towns, including Clifton, Cooyar, Crows Nest, Goombungee, Greenmount, Highfields, Millmerran, Oakey, Pittsworth, Toowoomba and Yarraman. Its task is immense, but our task as a community is greater. We have to discard borders between communities and work towards the future as a single community.

Like all communities, there are individuals and smaller interest groups that must survive and prosper to bring diversity and richness to our community as a whole, and we want to help foster all those individuals and groups in their ventures to grow and develop.

We hope that Toowoomba Talk will become a venue for all individuals and groups in the community to get involved, have their say, and bring a richness of opinion and activities to our community as a whole.

We hope that Toowoomba Talk will be a funnel, attracting interest from people and organisations outside the community as well. In this way we hope to enlighten others about our community and to encourage their participation personally and in business.

So we call on all residents, past and present, and all persons that have a vested interest in our community to join and get involved. We also call on all clubs and other community organisations to get involved and bring their message to the mix.

Show us who 'you' are, tell us about your interests, take a stand and express yourself. Clubs and organisations, show us what you offer, dazzle us with your activities and variety.

Join up now, tell us what you want, and we will do our best to ensure you won't be disappointed.
